Titel: At gentage en succes
Executive summary:
This project looks at emotional design and the opportunities that this design discipline can offer when designing a new product for the company Royal Copenhagen.
I have chosen to focus on Royal Copenhagen and their porcelain set ”Mågestellet” as I have an emotional connection to this porcelain set based on memories from my childhood.
Through quantitative (online survey) and qualitative (interview) user data, different design theories and an analysis of Royal Copenhagen, I will identify the product characteristics at the core of Mågestellets success .
I will then work with an aesthetic design strategy to create the right combination of shape, color and visual expression – and finally create a proposal for a new Royal Copenhagen product based on emotional design.
